Veterans2Work created its Cloud Computing Career Launch Program in 2013 to help returning veterans launch careers as Salesforce professionals. To complement the training provided by Vetforce, V2W provides the support necessary for a successful career launch, i.e., basic business training, individual career coaching and mentoring, group and workplace learning and ongoing career support. |

Background. Austin-based Whole Foods Market wanted to better serve its 400 stores and their customers. Its existing systems were dispersed, and its supporting processes inefficient, hampering its ability to deliver on its commitment to high-touch customer relationships across its network.
Whole Foods was considering Salesforce's Service Cloud as the platform and wanted to implement a prototype to test key parameters in a controlled environment. Whole Foods was familiar with our Cloud Computing Career Launch Program and asked Veterans2Work if we could accomplish this and involve our student veterans. 
The Project. Veterans2Work was asked to design and implement a pilot implementation of Salesforce software, to determine the feasibility and value of Salesforce as a platform for managing customer relationships across its current and future customer base …
Approach. We engaged a highly experienced Salesforce architect to serve as our "ringer." was an Army veteran with 10 years' Salesforce professional experience. We appointed one of our student veterans as project manager. He served as liaison to the overall architect and assigned tasks to the other students. There was a scrum each day to review progress and update the project plan. Our project leader provided the oversight and quality assurance, while our veterans were able to learn by doing. Results
