Our origins. Veterans2Work was founded in 2008 by a Vietnam War veteran surprised to see that veterans of newer wars were grappling with the same transition challenges that he had struggled. His own transition experience convinced him that something needed to be done; his business experience convinced him that there was a better way.

Our approach. Veterans2Work helps returning military veterans launch their civilian careers, while helping employers engage the full productive potential of those veterans.
Free services to veterans. All services are provided free of charge to participating veterans, spouses and caregivers. resources and tools to discover their interests and strengths, communicate them to employers and land the jobs that are right for them. "Vet-Strong" services to employers Partner employers engage the productive potential of participating veterans through focused recruitment, assessment-based screening, specialized training support and placement support. Businesses can engage veteran talent through direct hire, contract staffing or veteran-staffed outsourced services. Our aims. Veterans2Work is well on its way to its goal of providing meaningful career support to 100,000 returning veterans, from career assessment and counseling, to job networking and mentoring, to job matching and placement, to ongoing career support. |

John Reynolds, Founder / Executive Director
Upon his return from service as a combat infantryman in the Vietnam War, John faced challenges that remain to this day. limit their economic opportunities. He founded Veterans2Work in 2008 to provide veterans with the means to qualify for and launch careers in the new economy.
Prior to founding Veterans2Work he was a technology and professional services entrepreneur, with prior broad experience in corporate sales, marketing and business development.
John has been recognized for his work, at the White House by President Obama as a Champion of Change; as Hero of Marin, and as George H.W. Bush Point of Light recipient. He holds a BA from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Scott Kirkwood, Manager, Technology
Scott oversees the development and maintenance of the Veterans2Work technology platform, which includes a robust deployment of Salesforce.com. A certified Salesforce Administrator, he is adept at data analysis, "big data" and econometric issues. Scott has a B.A. in Economics from Sonoma State University
Scott is an accomplished musician. He plays bass in a progressive rock band, a qualification that we believe cements his credentials.

A graduate West Point, Jim served as an armored cavalry troop commander in Vietnam and Germany before launching a varied career in the business world. In addition to a BS in Engineering from the US Military Academy, he holds an MA in International Relations from Boston University and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
