Salesforce Implementation

CHALLENGE.
Austin-based Whole Foods Market wanted to better serve its 400+ stores and their customers.  Its
existing systems were dispersed, and its supporting processes inefficient, hampering its ability to deliver on its commitment to high-touch customer relationships across its network.
The company was considering Salesforce's Service Cloud as the platform to support its stores and customers worldwide and sought to prototype before full roll out.  The company's management was familiar with our Cloud Computing Career Launch Program for returning veterans and asked us to submit a proposal that would accomplish the project objective while affording student veterans the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience.

APPROACH.  We engaged a senior Salesforce architect to serve as project supervisor, ensuring the overall integrity of the project, from start to finish and providing learning through his own 'heavy lifting" examples.  One of our student veterans was selected to be project manager.  Working closely with the project supervisor, he coordinated student tasks and presided over daily scrums to review progress and update the project plan.  Also working closely with the project supervisor was an account supervisor, whose job it was to ensure client satisfaction through oversight and quality assurance

RESULTS
  • The 12-week project was delivered on time and under budget.
  • Our Salesforce prototype was eventually rolled out to 400 stores worldwide
  • All participating veterans landed paying jobs
  • Engaged for follow on project with Whole Kids

Veteran Employer Tracking System

CHALLENGE.
Microsoft's Military Affairs division had run into the limitations of its legacy systems and needed a more robust solution for coordinating, managing, tracking and communicating the interplay between veterans, employers, partners and training facilities.

APPROACH.  We engaged architect to serve as overall project supervisor, ensuring the overall integrity of the project, from start to finish and providing learning through his own 'heavy lifting" examples.

RESULTS
  • The 12-week project was delivered on time and on budget.
