Career Launch Tracks |
The purpose of our Career Launch programs is to provide you -- veterans, active duty military and spouses without previous experience -- with an end-to-end pathway to a job in the US growth economy. Career Launch Tracks give you an easy way to get started while providing you with the training and support that will help you qualify for and land a job in a high-demand field -- in a matter of months, rather than the years needed for a college degree. There are no prerequisites, and there is no financial cost to you; your success is determined only by your own effort and progress in each of the Career Track phases. The On-Ramp phase is designed to let you get your feet wet, and to win support for the Preparation phase, where the focus is on your employability. In the Launch phase, you receive individualized support focused on helping you land, and thrive in, your first job.
Launch Phases
Career On-Ramps are designed to give you an opportunity to freely explore a field of interest while earning advancement to the Launch Preparation phase, whose focus is on qualifying you for a job in the field.
On-Ramps have no pre-requisites and are easily accessible. On-Ramps typically take 4-20 hours of self-paced training and some group and simulated learning. |
The Launch Preparation phase is focused on helping you obtain the credentials that will qualify you for an entry level job. Your Success Coach connects you to additional training, workplace learning and user groups, and makes employer introductions. This phase typically requires from 40 to 200 hours to complete. |
The goal of the Career Launch phase is to help you land your first job in your new career field. Your Success Team will consist of your Success Coach, hiring company sponsors and others committed to your successful career launch.
Many employers will hire and train you for a job based on your VetMatch Success Profile.
