Career Tracks are designed to help you take your first few steps toward a career that interests you, to provide support to make you job-ready, to help you land your first job and to support your career success.
Career Tracks are comprised of On-Ramps and Launch Programs. On-Ramps are designed to provide you with a working feel for a particular; Launch programs are much more focused. Their purpose is to prepare you for, and place you into, your first job.
Career On-Ramps Take your first steps toward a great career.
Career On-Ramps prepare the way to a career by giving you opportunities to "get your feet wet," to get support from experienced practitioners and to network with potential employers.
Career On-Ramps provide you an opportunity to find out about and take the first few steps down a career path that interests you. We have partnered with businesses and industry groups in high-growth sectors, such as Cloud Computing, Campaign Planning and Computer Networking to create these trailheads into the growth economy. On-Ramps let you get your feet wet without having to make a big commitment, while moving you toward your career goal. The On-Ramp also provides you with a way to interact with potential employers.
The typical On-Ramp consists of self-paced training, experiential learning, individual mentoring and basic support. Total time commitment is between 4 and 20 hours, depending on the track, and may qualify you for certification. Upon completion, you receive a Certificate of Completion and qualify for the Career Launch phase.

Career Launch Prepare for and launch your new career.
Career Launch Programs build on the Career On-Ramps to help you qualify for and land your first job. They build on Career On-Ramps. Career Launch require a commitment of from 120 to 480 hours or more over a 3-6-month period.
Career Launch Programs build on Career On-Ramps. The goal of this intensive phase is to take you beyond what you learned in the On-Ramp phase and provide you with the skills that will make you "job ready" and help you land your first job. Career Launch Programs typically last 12-16 weeks and are free of charge to qualifying veterans. To see our Career Launch Programs.
